Christer Wulff is a singer/songwriter from Tromsø, a small city at the northernmost tip of Norway. Whether the long dark winters or bright short summers are represented through his music is up to the listener to decide.
What has been said when referring to his songs is a touch of Iron&Wine’s calm, a hint of Damien Rice’s melancholy and even a handful of Belle&Sebastian’s restless rhythm. It could be that his nomadic past of living in Berlin, New York or Central Asia has shaped his sound into what PopMatters refer to as “A soul-bearing balladeer with booming vocal bravado”.
Whatever might be uncertain – one thing is for sure. The debut album of Christer Wulff is finally finished and soon to be released. If you’re lucky you might catch one of his gigs – acoustic and solo or with his newly established band.
